Nashville police have charged a 27-year-old man with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a woman outside her home in North Nashville.
The victim was stabbed to death early Sunday morning outside her house in the 600 block of S. Washington Boulevard, according to Nashville Police Department.
The victim’s name has not been released.
According to police, a man was driving southbound on Washington Boulevard about 1:30 a.m. when he stopped at the intersection of Saginaw Street and Saginagoes Highway and he allegedly noticed two other vehicles stopped at a red light, and he exited his vehicle to get out.
When he exited, he allegedly saw a man and a woman sitting on the ground, according the affidavit.
He said the man was armed with a knife.
The woman was stabbed in the neck and chest and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later died, according police.
No arrests have been made.
