U.S. newspaper chain’s newspaper division to be acquired by U.K.-based Guardian newspaper

A British newspaper is to be purchased by a U.C. Berkeley newspaper group that owns newspapers in Britain and New Zealand.

The U.N.-backed newspaper group, the Guardian, is seeking to become the dominant U. of C. newspaper group in the United States and Asia.

The move, which would allow it to compete with the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, could make it the largest newspaper group to buy a U of C.-based company.

The U.

Co., which operates UCo, will buy the company from a consortium led by UCo’s U.U.R.B. Group, which includes Murdoch’s News Corp., Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox and News Corp.’s BSkyB.

U.

Co. is also a minority shareholder in News Corp.

The news comes as U. New York University, a public university affiliated with U.

New York, plans to merge with the University of California, Berkeley.

The merger would give the University the option to purchase UCo from the new owners.
